I had a hard day. I was in the counseling office all day. I eventually got checked out and attended my dentist appointment. There was this huge fight at school and even the parents were getting involved. It never a dull day at cedar grove.

 I honestly do not know what we did today . Today was very overwhelming and hard to mentally be there. This week has been the longest and hardest week to get through. I want to go virtual, but I can’t be at home. well at least not with her.

 There is not much of a reflection from today’s class. We had our junior class meeting today. Mr. Rease felt some type of way because he had a lesson plan for us already. 

 We read the excerpt “I Want a Wife (1971) written by Judy Brady. We know that she was a mother and a great wife. She uses rhetorical questions, hypophora, and repetition in the text. I’m not going to lie, I am completely lost. My mind is distorted. I’m having a hard time tbr. 

 Today class started off well. This is the first class I have been in to day that I'm somewhat myself. We began taking notes together while annotating the letter. I learned that the rhetorical situation will always be found in the prompt. We incorporated our prior knowledge referring to the rhetorical devices we learned previously. This made me realise that I need to reevaluate the words for a better understanding to move forward. 

 There was nothing special in particular about today's class. We had a sub and the classroom was half empty. The sub was actually nice. She let us do our work individually at our own pace. Today was a typical slow Monday. I could not wait for the bell to ring.

 My day was horrible. I got sick and we had some kind of gun threat. I do know if it was the food I ate or the smell in the building, but I instantly felt sick to my stomach. I honestly did not know anything about the gun threat, but I wished that they told our parents about it before they sent us to school.

Class started off with the bell ringer. We filled out a form that in alliance to the Resist the Temptation song from yesterday. As a class we discussed our responses. We are going to write the two paragraph speech before we leave today. I had already began writing it before class started, but I did it wrong. I finished revising my speech and hope that I have exceeded the expectations.

 Today in class we analyzed a song that we will later write a constructive response on if I am not mistaken. The song is Resist the Temptation by Tupac Shakur, and we listened to the song at the end of class. I was actually already familiar with the song. We was given the choice to start on the assignment in google classroom tonight, but we should start it in class tomorrow. Most of class time was taken away for a bs fire drill. 

 Today class was great. We learned only two devices today. The goal was three, but the class interactions were made up for it. We learned that life is like a basketball and that going to jail and drugs are NOT a timeout, they would be considered a foul. I don’t know why the metaphor activities were so difficult. I also was confused on the last device we learned today. 

 Today I felt better than yesterday. I assume yesterday was focused on the figurative and rhetorical devices. I can admit I am not confident with all the devices from the week. I would definitely consider some more practice before establishing mastery. We took a quiz that I was not prepared for.

 I am not sure on what we learned today in class. I stayed at home because I was not feeling well. 

 Class went by slow today. We started out taking notes on rhetorical analysis. The rest of the class period was spent listening and annotating Martin Luther King's 'I Have a Dream' speech. There was many rhetorical devices, figurative language, and rhetorical appeals. I found today to be a successful and effective day. The rhetorical analysis essays is one of the most difficult essays to write. I am not too excited about these next couple of writing assignments.

 My day was not the best, but it was also not the worst. Most of the day I was attempting to get my schedule done all day. I finally got to speak with a counselor about my life after graduation . In class we learned some new rhetorical devices. I was confused, but not most of the time.
